Had to Break the CDX Estate
« on: 09 July 2015, 19:43:51 »

I had to accompany my CDX Estate to the Breakers yesterday as swmbo had put her foot down & wanted the Drive back.
She was sick of carrying the shopping from the road to the house in bad weather ???
We had to remove the wheels from her as they charge for every tyre left on the car.
The bastard then drove the forks through both nearside doors and shoved her across
the yard into a corner! I had to physically contain myself from punching his lights out! >:(
I, have never felt this way about any other car, but then this is the first one I've seen scrapped
in the flesh so to speak, and I have always loved Omegas  :'(

It's not a nice feeling mate, I have been there with several cars that had run their course and reached the end of the line and I don't ever remember either selling or scrapping a car and not feeling at the very least a twinge of sadness, usually worse.

I never want to see my 2.2 scrapped  :'(

When the day comes it will just be taken away I hope, would not want to see it killed like that.  :o

I actually nearly PM'd mick-1975 as I really fancied his Manual 2.2 in the For Sale Section, but made the mistake of telling Sylvia about it first! I won't tell you what she said, but I think you can guess :-[ ::)
