Title: Mercedes Benz World anyone???
Post by: Pete Wright on 29 June 2008, 01:53:30
Would anyone be interested in a meeting at Mercedes Benz World at Cobham?

It's quite a good day out, letting you play in all of their new cars and laugh at the poor quality they have the cheek to charge £100,000 for! There is also a play area for kids, interactive displays and (If booked in advance) AMG driving experiences from £25.00.

Best of all entry is free!

Let me know if anyone is interested with suggested dates and I will arrange it.

what does 'play in all of their new cars' entail (are the keys included ;))

Unfortunately no keys!!! but they have everything open from A Class to S Class including all of the sports models (SLK, CLK, SL, CLS) and 4x4s (ML & GL) There are also all of the AMG models. There are historic models and F1 cars (Not for playing in!)

Interactive experiences, such as travelling along a CLK production line (All in 3D with moving seats etc.)

All in all its a good FREE day out for all of the family.

There is the opportunity for children over 1.5m in height to have a driving lesson in a Smart or A Class (Must be pre-booked) and for the grown ups AMG driving experiences on their own track and circular skid pan (Again must be pre-booked)

Sounds like the play doesn't entail shredding sets of tyres on a private test track then.  :'(

Still, sounds like a good day out. :y

BTW: You're not the Pete Wright from the Folkestone area who used to convoy to Le Mans with me are you?

if it bores my wife and daughter they will want to move round a couple of junctions to chessington world of adventure, and try to empty my wallet on the entry gates.

You should be quite safe, although I have never met you wife and daughter  :)

There are plenty of things to do there including interactive displays and shows.
