Title: Cat wiring Q
Post by: 05omegav6 on 09 July 2012, 18:16:04
Is there any reason why the cat loom can't run under the gearbox rather than over it :-\

Just swapped the main engine loom and the cat loom didn't quite reach over the top due to being tweaked for the reverse light switch. Car is manual, new loom is auto fwiw :-\

Currently routed around the back of the box and tucked up in the front of the rear crossmember so not actually visible below the car :-\ main issue with over the top is simply it won't fit because of the autobox plugs making the loom too fat ::)

Whats stopping it sagging, or getting snagged.

Cable ties :y  Also the loom is only just long enough to reach from the reversing light switch to the left hand lamdas, so no dangling. The rear mount sits between it and the prop shaft so no chance of it wrapping itself around that... loom follows the traditional route down the bell housing to the reversing switch then down to the left hand lamdas, then around the back of the gearbox sump to the right hand lamdas...

Worst case I can reroute the loom when the clutch is next changed  :y

Got an 0135 amongst other things ::) Is Bank 1 Sensor 1 the front O2 sensor on the drivers side :-\

I've a couple of sensors to try, thanks Rob, and just want double check before trying them :y
