Couldn't 'we' OOF members that is, all make a donation (OK a big donation!) and buy it for the use of OOF? I know that would be a logistical nighmare though....

It's got Sat Nav which was standard on a 3.2 and an option on the 2.6 so would guess it is a 3.2............ Not seen many 2.6's with upgraded head units.

General Discussion Area / Elite Cream Leather Interior
« on: 15 May 2007, 16:49:08 »
Does anybody have a picture of the interior of a facelift elite with cream leather, possibly looking at one but only ever considered black leather / interior before. Just wondered what the interior looked like in that colour.

Not sure how child proof a light colour would be!

Thanks

Yep, me too, always use left foot on brake pedal, much easier and smoother.

Heel and toeing is great fun but the pedal height difference on most standard cars doesn't allow you to do it :(

Can you imagine the dealers face when you (well OOF members going for a bulk discount) walk in with your trade card and ask for 15000 litres of oil...... to be delivered in handy 5 litre packs throughout the country over the next 12 months....

Might be worth trying www.lmfvauxhall.co.uk for Veccy B parts, I know Steve used to have loads of 'de mounted' parts direct from VX (from new cars that were upgraded to GSi's).

I've used these discs and pads before with no problems - they've literrally been on the car for a dozen wheel revolutions!

Got one of these on my Vectra, if I took it out now then i'd never remember to close the sunroof / windows and leave them wide open when I park!

Will definately be transfering this across to my Omega (when I get it!). Any chance of a 'How too' with pics for others? I know it wasn't too dificult to fit on the Vectra.

It's the phone aerial, aerials on the later models had a bigger base that housed the sat nav antenna and the traffic master antenna is usually tucked behind the dashboard (On the vectra it's just two wires taped to the glovebox).

Can I just add a note about drilling holes in the boot area - Please delete this if not required.

When drilling through the boot floor please be extremely careful if anywhere near the petrol tank. (Most cars have the tank under the rear seat so are ok).

In the days of fixed carphones where the Transciever lived in the boot it was not unknown for installation engineers to not check and drill straight through the floor and though the top of the petrol tank, obviously the consequences of a hot drill bit into petrol / petrol fumes isn't ideal!
