Finally got around to doing the radiator which I did last night.  Spent most of my spare time flushing it this morning, letting it cool now before dropping the water, checking it's still clear and filling it with coolant/water mix :y

Next jobs are timing belt and the wishbones but I am happy to leave them until next week.

By the way the cheeky tinker at BPB tried to tell me that the belts were different and that I absolutely needed (strangely enough) the more expensive one and had held my delivery back as a result.  "The back plates are the only difference" says I, "But there are different belts for the different engine numbers"  he said.

That annoys the shit out of me >:( had a similar conversation over a recent ebay purchase... Chise that seller because the offered next day delivery, only to get an email the following day asking me to confirm that the part I ordered didn't appear to be for my car... I hadn't told them what my car was and I wouldn't have ordered it if I hadn't needed it... T watts. I mean what other car might I possibly be ordering Omega vented rear discs for :-X

I tried to order a 3 litre backbox from Germany for my 2.5....

They said it won't fit....

Doesn't matter - says I - it's going to be a custom fit so doesn't matter, I will make it fit...

It won't fit for your car says them - again....

Repeating the same conversation about 5 times.....

Bought 1 from my local motorfactors for £20 more than the Germans would supply, sort of had the same conversation with the motorfactors too.... they sold it to me without a warranty coz they knew it would be chopped up...

Its only 1 of the tailpipes that has been cut - but it still fits  :)

Busy two days... started dealing with the nearside chassis rail on the black one, then found out I was working tomorrow  :o

So had to quickly fit new wishbones to the white one in order to get it roadworthy. All back together and tightened up, seems to drive ok, with no obvious tyre scrubbing 8)

Also fitted new battery to it, have pulled a couple of fuses for the time being until I have had a chance to investigate further... job for next week :D
