Put my eml on again with multiple misfire codes trying to calibrate my LPG... It's not having it.  :'(

Booked in to see Kev on Thursday.  :-[

Was going to ask about that. Still not happy then? :-/ :-/
Afraid not, tried again yesterday. Got all 6 cylinders this time, but it still runs progressively grumpy through the calibration procedure until it practically stalls, eml on, half the cylinders shut down by the petrol ucu so have to restart. There's no point me keep playing with it. Needs an expert eye.

Did you speak with Teilo? Seems strange that yours won't calibrate but the others were fairly close out of the box :-/ :-/

Unless it is the vaporiser, although I wouldn't have thought so, they're pretty sturdy :-?

What have you done differently? ::)
Don't know, something daft orobably.  :-[

Tilo suggested removing the rubbers from around the loom LPG injector plugs. There have been cases where they where fully plugged in, but not making a sound connection due to the rubbers not being silikon lubricated at the factory to save costs, and indeed they where very very tight to plug in.
Removed rubbers, re calibrated, no change. Rubbers lubed and re fitted. They plug in better, but that's not the issue here.  :-/

Drove mine from Chertsey to Stanstead yesterday, collected a cement mixer, stuck it in the boot and drove home to Bracknell.

Seem to spend my life on the M25 at the moment so there's been no time for maintenance.. although the aux belt tensioner is making a dodgy noise, I wish I had time to do the cambelt for peace of mind (despite the tick in the book 8K ago) and the brakes are starting to squeal..

Sounds familiar, tc pads on mine are squealing when hot, and the aux belt makes a noise per revolution. Cam belt this weekend all being well. 114 for conti kit and a water pump from butpartsby. Forgot the aux belt though.  :-[  no sign of it being replaced in the history either.

Is it a sort of 'swoosh-swoosh-swoosh' noise, by any chance? (I also seem to have got a rattle somewhere, but can't localise it - sounds 'expensive' inside the car but much quieter when your head is under the bonnet, most odd)

(And my pads seem to be noisy all the time, though I do wonder if it's the handbrake mechanism, since pulling the handbrake up also elicits a squeak)

Today...

New wishbones (both sides), new rear offside wheel bearing plus hub flange, new (s/h) rear coil springs (both sides), oil and filter change, breathers cleaned, etc.

(good) garage rates - any guesses?

(p.s - it's driving FANTASTICALLY)  :y :y

And an unexpected bonus - the collar on the gearshift mechanism used to rattle quite a lot (v. annoying), but now the front end has been sorted it barely does it at all!

RESULT!!  :y

V6 has been in to have it's Aircon repaired. No leak found so vac'd and refilled with correct quantity of oil and dye. Chatting to the chap he said the crucial element is the oil and this is often not paid attention too (even new cars only have the least amount of oil the manufacturer can get away with!).

MOT for the DTi tomorrow....  ::)
