Does anyone know if Martin Imber is still in business, I found a website but there is no address to send key fobs to.

You can contact me at  martinimber@btinternet.com and I will send you the address to post the fobs to, please remove the key and immobiliser chip and just send the fob on its own, please use recorded delivery for tracking reasons. I accept cheques made out to me, cash or Paypal made out to  , please note bitmaps used to prevent harvesting.

It is quite possible that the fob will not work when you receive it back, you will need to resync the fob to the car, turn on the ignition with the repaired key and press the lock button within a few seconds of turning on the ignition.

Yup, this. Switches are about 30p each - the shop used to sell a back of 3 for £1 back in the day - and if the rubbers are shagged, they are dirt cheap off ebay, even if the ebay ones tend to be a bit harder than the genuine.

Genuine fobs used to be about £25, but obviously need programming to car, so not suitable for all.  Not sure if the prices have jumped like all other Vauxhall parts since the French invaded.

many many moons back, Martin sorted a fob out for me. He included a couple of switches in the envelope when he sent it back to me .... they're somewhere still in the envelope in my garage!

Sounds like my garage I know its there but cant find it. Martin did a fob for me some time ago fantastic service,now looking for a rebuild on a door locking solenoid.I believe it was "Steve" who did those.

Again, just replace switches, decent ones are under £1 each, and Kevin Wood did a great guide

Spoke with Martin late last year about a key fob repair he was having problems getting actual fobs if the rubbers where knackered but could still do the internals

You forgot about the super quick Suzuki B120.

I found some switches from a repair kit I had bought years ago, managed to solder them in myself without buggering it up and all is well!
