The Old and the New
« on: 15 September 2011, 08:01:35 »

Just changed one '02 CDX V6 Estate for another one . .

The Old: 160K, Needed new shocks, some kind of oil leak, various other things, sorry but time to go . .   :'(

The new: 53k, obviously different colour, crap tyres, hope it's ok. London to B'ham for work today and to give it a run.

Seems ok   :D

Ha, well observed ! But actually it's the brick wall behind the bush at the front that I really need to watch ! It's responsible for more than the odd scratch on the old car.

Well, beggars can't be choosers, I bought on mileage and general condition. Although I actually quite like it. My Mrs called it a very "me" colour  ???

Alas, big problem. Head gasket or maybe oil cooller. My garage tells me at least £900 who knows, so now gone to the great scrapyard in the sky. Also needed complete new exhaust, a few body dents etc. Simply not worth it.

BUT, got an Elite . . . .

Yep I know. But I needed to make a decision, and I also need a car, quite quickly. Anyway all done now.
