Well, that didnt last long. While Hamilton was having a superb start, young China Joe was flying upside down into the barriers on the first corner, so a red flag straight away.
Hope he,s ok.  :(

Just been listening to a discussion on the telly about the fact that apparently a new law is to be introduced in Scotland.
The law will stop anyone under 18 being put in prison under any circumstances !
I cant find the words tbh.

Omega General Help / Matrix hose leak.
« on: 22 March 2022, 11:53:54 »
Ive had a slight leak from the top hose going into the matrix for quite a while.
Ive now got around to trying to do something about it. I took the hose off this morning and noticed the pipe on the matrix looked a bit cruddy and that the hose might not have been pushed fully home (against the ridge on the matrix pipe) before the locking ring had been pulled back.
I cleaned up the pipe and carefully refitted the hose, made sure it was pushed up against the ridge and then pulled the lock ring back, just how I think it should be.
Took it for a short drive, with heater on full, and its still leaking just the same as it had been,
I think the pipe at the matrix is ok, but might need to try and inspect it really closely. Otherwise Im a bit stuck as to what to do next.
Any ideas welcome.
Tia.

Bercow has apparently been handed a lifetime ban from the commons for being a serial bully and liar.
Even the Labour party have had no choice but to suspend his membership.
How the mighty have fallen.  ;D
It took for too long, but better late than never.  :)

No not Trumps wall. A wall at the EU frontier (in Poland) with Belarus is now under construction to keep illegals from entering Poland, and thus the EU.
Not a mention of it anywhere on the mainstream media !
You couldnt make it up.  ::)

General Car Chat / Oil thread !
« on: 15 January 2022, 00:00:51 »
Will be  fitting a new turbo on the French contraption in the next few days, so purchased new oil and filter from Eurocraprats.
As usual put the reg. number in and got a list of suitable oils.
The top two were 0w-30 spec. then below that 5w-30 and 5w- 40.
For reasons I now cant remember I chose the one at the top, which happened to be 0w - 30.
https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/castrol-edge-c3-engine-oil-0w-30-4ltr-521770991

Now Im sat at work bored,so have done a lot of checking online and everything I look at says the recommended spec is 5w - 30.
Will it make any significant difference ?  I assume its a bit thinner, and a bit concerned it wont be good enough for my new turbo.
Dont want to blow the bloody thing up again after spending yet more time and money on it.

General Discussion Area / Boris. How long ?
« on: 17 December 2021, 11:05:43 »
Seems he cant put a foot right these days. The Tories have just lost a very safe seat, in a huge protest vote against them / him.
He has been called a greased piglet before, ofr his abilityy to slip out of any situation he gets himself into, but is he near the end now ?
And does he care, if he is ?
No doubt the vultures are now circling, but the big question is, who to replace him with ?
Liz Truss ? Dishy Rishi ?
Cant see a potentially great leader anywhere on the horizon myself.

General Car Chat / M.O.T. today.
« on: 13 December 2021, 17:12:51 »
over 19 years old and over 190,000 miles. Two advisories, so cant complain.
Slight wear to steering idler. Got a new genuine one in the shed Ive been meaning to fit for at least two years.
Corrosion on inner face of front discs. Standard Omega issue, but disappointing. I fitted a new pair just before last years MOT, approx. 3000 miles ago.
MOT man said lack of mileage is the problem. Standing around doing nothing is when the corrosion gets into them, which makes sense.
Overall, well pleased though.
Particularly as it may get pressed into daily service soon as little Pierre is dying again. ::)

General Discussion Area / That poor little boy.
« on: 03 December 2021, 18:48:51 »
Its all over the news, and I am trying hard to avoid the gory details. It makes me too upset and angry when I hear / read about it.
I get the gist of what happened though, and it convinces me more that we should reintroduce the death penalty for the creatures who do this kind of thing.
They arent human, so shouldnt have human rights.
I sincerely hop they suffer utter abject misery every hour of every day in prison, and the other prisoners do to them what they did to that poor defenceless little kid.  :'( :'( :'( >:( >:( >:(

General Discussion Area / TV tonight.

Tried 10 minutes of Top Gear. Dross, utter dross.
Turned over to An audience with Adele. Also lasted 10 minutes. A lot of hype around the girl, but she couldnt carry a tune in a bucket.
Also couldnt stomach all the celebs in the audience doing their exaggerated, fake dances to make sure they got air time.
Now watching the F1 post race interviews for the second time, but that welsh fella and Coulthard are getting right on my wick.
Its making me grumpy.  ;D

Said to be a favourite at TB towers.
Never seen any of it before, but Ive just endured about 10 minutes of it. Atrocious doesnt even begin to describe this tosh.  :o ;D

General Discussion Area / Monza F1. SPOILER.
« on: 12 September 2021, 16:21:07 »
Imo Verstappen deliberately took Hamilton out of the race because he knew Hamilton was probably going to win the race.
His rear wheel landed on Hamiltons head and could easily have broken his neck.
Disgustingly, he didnt even so much as glance over to see if Hamilton was ok as he walked away from the scene.
A hateful, dangerous, arrogant little shit, who should be facing a long ban, but of course it wont happen.  >:( >:( >:(

Today, the NHS have decided on the best way to start spending it.
