Apple. Poxy useless, stupid oppsing phone no longer broadcasts out its hotspot, despite if saying it is.  Apple's best solution is to talk to them once I've reset the networking on the phone, and if that doesn't help, factory rest the phone.  How about opps Off Jobs you useless idiot.

driver's view of the road obscured by sat navs ,magic tree ,fury dice etc
An NT would probably remove before test ,it's not worth the hassle of refusing a test ,then re-booking (test stations have to pay the DVSA a fee per test in blocks of 25)
an Traffic cop in a bad mood could ticket you
New AI cameras  could be set to ticket you by post when driving with tat in the window

We noticed on the way in that... And took the liberty of fixing for before the test...

NT can't "log on" without first doing a "walk round" to check the car is safe enough to MOT and also verify the VIN (if there is one)

anyone can fix things before or after test with permission 

Many testers don't read the manual or understand what it means  though   

a test should be done  "as presented"

so,,, for example ,,,, someone has their windscreen partly blocked with "magic tree air fresheners" might NOT  like the resulting certificate

Well, I did what I shouldn't do at the moment and laid on the floor and found the clip to release the bulb unit, before getting into the inner part where the bulb was.  Bulb changed, so another thing off the list before the MOT in January.

To think the Vx dealer wanted £27 to do that!

My MOT tester failed me for a Dip beam bulb a few years ago, he fitted me one and when the Test bill came in I asked about the bulb as ther was no charge.  all I got was see you this time next year.

NTs are NOT allowed to fix or adjust anything when logged on to the VTS device during an MOT test   
so they should enter it as a fail , then they can fix stuff if the customer agrees, then re-MOT

Lots of flooding around the country after yesterday's heavy rain on top of a few weeks of wet weather.    I know that we've had plenty of rain recently, but it hasn't exactly been biblical. Fairly typical for the time of year? 

I wonder how much of this flooding is caused by poor maintenance though, councils not clearing blocked drains and farmers not digging ditches etc?   

I was out and about yesterday in the rain and pretty much every gateway had a small river pouring off the field over the road and I saw a small culvert entrance by the side of the road that looked as though it was overwhelmed by the amount of water, but going by today, it was still overflowing even though the water had reduced to a relative trickle so it was clearly blocked. 

Ten years ago when the Somerset Levels flooded badly, there was a lot of talk about the lack of dredging in the River Parrett and the network of canals, drains, and ditches that take the water out to the Bristol Channel, and that it was at least a contributory factor. 

Maybe I'm being cynical, but I guess it's more convenient to blame climate change?

PLUS
Building thousands of houses on "flood plains" with tiny or no gardens , 2 car parking spaces
all of which have to have "soak away" fresh water drains ,rather than sending water to treatment plants,
poorly designed drainage on new developments,
roads not swept , so debris block drains

If we all buy electric cars and stop eating meat , maybe all the flooding won't happen 

I've driven 100+ miles EXTRA this week to avoid flooded roads 
HS2 works diversions have added 40+ miles per week for the last year 
good job my Omega does a healthy 24MPG 
I used to get less MPG ,but now i can't drive fast enough due to traffic jams

wear lighter footwear , or put your right foot on a diet

Mine wasn't VW modded
was working fine ,until it wasn't 
intermittent and speed one worked when they felt like it  ,wipers wouldn't park sometimes 
I thought it would be the motor from previous experience with rusty Vauxhalls ,
but it was the relay
the SAAB one was the cheapest NEW genuine, non Chinesium relay at the time
