Not sure what you mean by did bulb ? and omegas with hid have d2s bulbs .otherwise normal h1/h7 for non hid cars..6k is the reccommended hid bulb temp at 35w. Not sure you can upgrade these .certainly not above 35w anyway.
As for the non hid you can't go above 55w but there are various bulbs available that give a better light output for the same wattage. Various makes do these .only used the ring versions myself but I'm sure Philips and Osram do some.
A few people on here like the nightbreaker ones.

Factory xenon bulbs are generally 4300k whick gives the nearest thing to a pure white light... 6000k gives the light a bluer tint... which is, in actual fact, darker... Ergo, not an upgrade at all ;D

Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs readily available in all Omega guises, including D2S. Pricey, but effective and my go to bulb of choice ;)

For HID, the best illumination comes from the 4.1 - 4.4k, which is why most car manufacturers put in 4.2 or 4.3k HID bulbs.

Anything higher are show bulbs really, and the higher you go, the lower level of illumination you get.

Note, HID bulbs start to degrade as you use them, so don't try to compare a new 6k HID with a 18yr old 4.2k bulb, as the 18yr old one will be pretty shot.

I should replace the 3.2’s bulbs, but current ones good enough. Also if you replace bulbs should also do adjusters as well.

What they like with oncoming traffic in the dark, particularly if wet?

I'd only repair adjusters if necessary.

If they look bright but you can't actually see much they are past their best. Was amazed the difference with the two sets I've replaced.

As in do I get flashed? No appear fine.

Parked in up in the Close other day, due to building work had a skip on drive. In morning started it, heaters to full lights on and walked off. (Defrosting) Came back 10 mins later, noticed how bright HIDs looked.

But as you say are tired and do have tint when fired up which goes.

Maybe summer job for next winter.  :)

No tunnie. They look bright, but struggle to illuminate properly.  Easiest noticed when driving into oncoming traffic on a dark wet night.

If they are 15yrs old, they are shagged.

I'm sure I saw the MOT tester reversing my car out of the MOT bay with just the main beams and the front fogs lit earlier today.. like one or both of the HIDs had failed to strike. ::)

I wasn't going to say anything at the time. :-X

I was surprised by how much brighter the one I replaced was compared to the still working original - it was obvious from the driver's seat.
Fortunately, I'd bought two bulbs.
