MID display swap?
« on: 11 March 2009, 16:42:56 »

Would a MID from a 2.0 Omega work in my 2.5 v6 Omega assuming the plugs are the same (it's an early 2 plug type). Or, would it need re-programming for the engine size difference?

Thanks for any pointers :-)

Right, took my mid out and cleaned the ribbon cable contacts where they connect to the circuit board (after de-soldering the button connectors).

Thought i'd done a good job right up to the point where I was re-assembling it all and I cracked the LCD  >:( goddamit!!

I put it back in the car anyway to see what happened. The backlight no longer works, and part of the screen is blank. Other parts work better than before so if I hadn't cracked the glass I may have cured it  :-[

Soooo, anyone got a MID (90 379 234) from a 2.5 v6 cdx auto?
