Sorry about your brother Stemo, it’s ridiculous now, unless you have COVID they won’t bother with you. I walked into the scaffold with my hawk in my hand last Thursday and it wedged into my ribs thought I got away with it as it wasn’t too bad over the weekend so went to work Monday, the  pain was getting very bad towards the end of the day. Phoned the medical number and it was like an interrogation with the most unusual questions after 20 minutes I hung up and went to A&E who kept me waiting for three and a half hours so I told them the pain in my chest was getting worse (which it was) they looked at me within 15 minutes then😎 turns out I’ve broken two ribs :(

Not sure how to react to this. I just hope that you get to spend some time with him.

Take 2 paracetamol. Or if it's lower down ask Opti for a blue tablet. ;D

I'm pleased to say the little blue tablet has never been required. :y

Young firm flesh is all that is needed for any man. :y :)

He's in Liverpool, I'm in Barnsley........and we never could stand the sight of each other. Not really much I can do to help him, except listen to what he sees fit to tell me. After the initial shock of yesterday's phone call, I've tried to rationalise the situation, and the part that hurts the most is the way he was treated. Who knows what the outcome may have been if he had been seen earlier. But he won't be alone, far from it.
Thanks for your thoughts  :)

I can only repeat what others have said Steve & say how sorry I am for brother's illness & situation.  :( :(

We hear of far too many similar cases.

I have just read your post Steve, so a belated very sad to here that.  I have had relatives with cancer within the greater family, so I can imagine what you and your brother are going through.

All the very best to you both, especially if/when the worst happens :'( :'(

So sorry to hear about your brother. I can only hope the care he receives from now on is better and makes his remaining time as comfortable as possible.

Firstly, sorry about your brother Steve. I lost my younger brother 12 years ago  :(
I have been waiting ages to get a blood test at the surgery. I am having to wait 3 weeks for an ECG. But....I had a text from the surgery, offering me appointments at either the surgery or the Medical Centre, for my second jab, which I had on Saturday. A choice of day, and times at either, the world was my oyster But I still wait for my EGG. Did eventually get the blood test on Friday.
