Too Cheap Meter
« on: 24 March 2021, 17:43:52 »

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kewtech-KT203-Digital-Clampmeter-Test-Leads-Probes-and-Clips-Calibration-Service/283438600878?hash=item41fe41d2ae:g:igcAAOSwj~Vco2dx

Is this something I do not understand as others sell this same meter >100 euro? I am looking for a good clamp meter and reasonable price but this is strange, what's wrong with me?

It's a clever advert.

If you select the actual clampmeter from the drop-down list, you get a price of £96.50

First line of item desciption;

Please note this is a multi ad listing, you need to select the items you require from the drop down box.

Ok, thanks a lot, it looked too good so I did not want to proceed with my credit card data, so basically it is ok. Nice meter as a matter of fact. Both AC and DC current starting from quite low Amps.

Theres lots of that type of adds like that and you have to be on the ball with some of the wording.

There was a advert a while back, Micro/modelers table saw, lots of pictures, safety gaurd, guide rail, polishing wheel, sanding plate, 2 different toothed blades, spare belt etc etc.

Various people doing variations of the add with different prices offered.

Anyone who bought it and parted with £20 or more found out 2 months later when they recieved a saw blade the size of s 2p coin.

When the advert was re-read and disected carefully it was a carefully worded con and you actually got what you paid for.   :-X
