Where's the worst place you have dropped summat...
« on: 14 September 2014, 19:17:26 »

No prizes, but obviously a grub screw down the inlet manifold wins :D

Today I managed to drop the screw from the bottom of the instrument cluster down into the hinge of the adjustable steering column ::)

Only took an hour to liberate the little bastid >:(

Cap from the top of my DTI into the plug hole on No. 1 cylinder of a freshly built engine made me say "bother" a few times. Fortunately a "magnet on a stick" came to the rescue. :-[

Washer from a peugeot 405 diesel manifold. Went up in the air and somewhere.

Found out where once i fitted the timing belt and turned the engine over by hand to check the timing..

In my (limited) experience, all the old dears let go every time they stand to sing, so why should you get in trouble

Ignition key of a zx6 down the inside of the fairing. Before the days of magnets on sticks. Took ALL the plastics off, eventually found on top of the head/inlets.

No, I don't know either. :-\

Dropped £200 worth of 20's that fell out of the hole when I pulled the Courtesy Light unit of a BMW to change the bulb, most of it fell on my lap, the rest fell on the footwells, real pita to pick up.  :)
