You could buy a Laminova for much less and the one on my kit car has been fine for 20+ years...

Or use a fettled   EGR cooler clicky   in a similar way  :)

I've got a pair of those bolted together to recover the exhaust heat from one of my diesel heaters

Well, having met with the very helpful chap at Rickenbaugh Cadillac, they're starting to struggle getting some parts for anything much over 10 years old as GM switches it's focus to all electric.

Doesn’t bode well for older Vauxhalls.

Doesn’t bode well for older Vauxhalls. cars with internal combustion engines.

Sadly I think this is more like it as after 2030 when new ICE cars will be banned, I can't see the car companies bothering with parts for long.

Maybe the aftermarket/pattern parts companies will do well, but only for common parts for popular cars I'd imagine.  :-\
