I seem to recall that euro crap parts sell the KWP water pumps which are good with metal impellers.

Its long been a suspicion of mine that they are one of the OE suppliers to Vx for these parts.

I would suggest if that was the case, I wouldn't be scratching my head, wondering how I can cut down the pulley bolts with a blunt hacksaw and no vice ::)

Think man!
A couple of washers under each bolt head will work just as well.

That's how I had to cut them, pair of molegrips and an angle grinder.  Don't tell the H&S mob

All the pumps with the thin flange where you have to cut bolts seem to fail early

I can get hold of genuine gm v6 pumps at £38 a pop at the mo

The circoli ones from Ecp etc also seem fine, thick flange metal impeller
