Check the piccy on the following link.  Shows the cabling and the alternator, albeit with some of the bits at the front of the engine removed.  But you will get the gist of what TB suggests though.  Hopefully...   ;D

Wayne - 2nd pic

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1189893357

(I know yours isn;t DBW, but that pic shows the wiring clearer that the 1st pic).

See the 2 large black rubber intakes going into large silver plenum on top of engine? Just to left is a red outline? Bottom left of that is a connector, and a wire comes out left, and up ove the cam cover?

i cant see any fraying or damage whatsoever to that cable or its connector, is it advisable to squirt some WD40 into the male and female ends? apart from that, im not sure what to do now, and NO i wont be taking the cam cover off :(

I was wondering if compacted snow and general rubbish on roads has caused wiring issues with mine.

Code "89" does seem to point to n/s sensor with open circuit so I am thinking lamba is playing up.

On a bit of a tangent from the OP but mine has been doing this for ages, even after changing both lambdas, been advised it could be gasket blow or wiring issue.   :(

What moron of a monkey you are using to give you that diagnosis, sack him now.  >:(

How can a 'wiring issue' cause gasket blow & coolant loss (which is a common sympton in HG failure)
