Tunnie, winter is coming and you are going to purchase summer tires :-?

considering there will be mostly rainy, at least go for uniroyal rain sport

The reviews come out ok  :-/

uniroyal rainsport have very good degrees in tests, dont know the price but I would personally go for it if I live in UK

ps: you can easily see its not the same class tire :-/

also thread design will save you in most conditons under snow so you can move , but unfortunately no brakes.. (similiar to good year model)

we only get snow, in reality for 1 week a year at most, so not massive concern. I'd get propper snow tyres for that.

Two minds at moment, cheap Nexens, or say sod it and go down WIM for some Toyo Proxies :)

Uniroyals are better than toyo in rainy conditions but if you will decide between 2 no doubt I would buy Toyo.. but be careful in wet..

I had me nexen cp641 on tractor. Ok for budget tyre, worked ok-ish in snow, appalling in very, very, very wet weather (not helped by chipped tractor's power delivery). Only me en 6000 I've ever owned is currently in you garage

Any thoughts on

Kumho KU31 - well documented but not readily available
 vs
Kumho KU39 - available but can't find much about them on an Omega

 :question

I guess I ask because they look stoatally different:

Ecsta SPT KU31                                                            ECSTA LE Sport KU39

and have different descriptions, as if the KU31 is more sport oriented and the KU39 is general purpose.

This is for you Chrisgixer  ;D [smiley=evil.gif] [smiley=evil.gif]

"Having 400bhp in a FWD car is not much fun when you can't get it onto the road, this I experienced with my last set of tyres Conti sport contact 3's.... Dry grip was good but I didn't rate them in the wet!

Have had the kumho's on for just over 4k and I'm impressed! Don't get me wrong tho.... In the wet I still can't give it full beans but I don't think there is a tyre out there's which could do this!!

Dry grip is brilliant and handling in the wet has really improved!! "

Straight away I question that review, as they say Michelin PS3 are miles ahead. Michelin do not make a usable tyre for anyone, so There is clearly something amiss in the teating
