KYB shocks

Has anyone fitted KYB Gas shocks to there Omega?
I've just fitted new Kyb's to the rear of mine as the old ones were weeping oil and just wondering what others thought of them if fitted.

I fitted them all round a few weeks ago, "gas-adjust" on the back, seem ok to me, big improvement on my old wornout ones. Gonna have to fit lowered springs now though becuase the new shocks have restored the original ride height, pre-load was gone from the old ones.

I didn't think that KYB did shocks for the MV6......

On the MV6  (certainly at the rear, not so sure about the front) its the shocks that do the lowering...the springs are the same...

Hence I am not surprised that the at least the rear is higher...

Well, that may explain it, it's not terrible, just a bit too high for my liking. Anyway, got the 40mm lower springs now from Venom, they actually appear to be Gmax springs via Mountney, so a pretty good buy at £65 +vat. Hopefully they'll make the car feel a bit more planted to the road.
I'll report back as soon as they're fitted.... :)

Good luck if you've bought G-Max springs.

I had a bad experience of them - I fitted them to my Cavalier, and they were meant to be 40mm, but it slammed the front end right down and made the back end higher than standard!

Fitted the new springs on Friday, ride height's good, lower than standard MV6, the ride's good and the whole thing's more stable. Was also rewarded to find one of the old rear springs was broken !

Did the camber and tracking when I put it back together, couldn't afford to scrub my tyres again, actually drives nicer now than it did before.
