Here are some.

First with seat fully back...

and with seat fully forward...

as you can see, with the seat fully forward there is no room at all for the knees...

Also... a long shot Iknow but... If the tyres on the front and rear have different profiles, this will also show the same symptoms on ABS light etc....

Nice to see another McLean on the forum  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Auto GearBox goes bananas

Gearbox could be in need of an oil change or have a sticky relay. Tech2 should indicate any relay problem. Oil change is cheaper!

Saw them on an Astra recently so kits must be available. Point is- why would you?

Omega General Help / Re: self-levelling suspension question.
« on: 16 May 2009, 21:00:13 »
Headlight level sensors (there are 2) are both on the near-side (passenger side) of the car. Front is on thw wishbone and rear connected to the back axle and bodywork (iirc), The suspension level sensor is also on the back axle but on the drivers side. They have a tendency to sieze up or the ball joint sometimes pops out. A quick visual check should confirm.

Omega General Help / Re: windscreen replacement
« on: 04 May 2009, 10:11:10 »
I had the windscreen on my 2.6 replaced last month by Autoglass. Price quoted was £450 + Vat but I did mine through the insurance for £60 excess. Can't fault the service though. The guy went to a lot of trouble to ensure it was the correct windscreen etc and the finished job was excellent - no mess. I took mine to their depot to have it done though and left it with them for a couple of days so that they didnt have to rush the job  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Mud Flaps Problem - advice please
« on: 03 May 2009, 22:39:51 »
I have the standard Omega mudflaps on my 2.6 and they scrape on the tarmac on every bend and every bump in the road. They are a menace. I'm 15 stone but I dont think that is overweight - well it is but the car is supposed to be designed to carry 4 or 5 of me. I just think the mudflaps are a bad idea  :-/

Omega General Help / Re: NCDC 2013 reset codes???
« on: 02 May 2009, 11:15:01 »
If you press the CD button on the unit it will tell you there is no music CD. This button only operates the single slot CD. Press the CDC button (below the drawer eject button) and this should select the cd's in the changer.

Hope this helps.

Omega General Help / Re: front spring broken

You will find a "How to" somewhere on this site. Job is reasonably straightforward but if you are not confident then may be best left for the experts.

Just checked the website for the breakers at Inverkeithing. They have a GLS Omega in at the moment (looks like a 4-pot) - might be worth a call.

Better replacing both springs at the same time to avoid any handling issues. There are some available on FleaBay in pairs or you could nip down to the breakers - I hear that there is a new one opened in Inverkeithing where you buy the parts online first and then turn up to remove them.

Hope that helps.  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Unusual fault?
« on: 20 April 2009, 21:28:27 »
Yup - check the tyre sizes on the front match those on the back. If not, then one set will be turning faster than the other, thus knocking the sensors and ECU's out. Happened to me a while ago after a visit to Kwik-Bodge.
