Whats wrong with it? Just the switches/batt holder, or is the rubber shagged as well?
Ebay replacement rubbers are universally shite, so I prefer the new fob (about £25) if the rubber fails. Obviously I have a tech2 though.
Swtches and batt holder are dead easy. I seem to do loads.

TB, here's sopmething else that I bought last week for you to ctiticise!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Vauxhall-Opel-Vectra-Astra-Omega-3-Button-Remote-Key-Fob-Case-repair-A47/162512736244?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
My previous pikey fob had lasted at least 5 years, worked well and was a doddle to fit, so I am happy. This one is UK sourced, cheap (£2.49) and delivered nextday.
Ron.

I am interested in how "hard" the buttons are. All the replacements I've found have been far harder that the GM ones.
-
My wife can operate the buttons easily, and she is a 7 stone weakling, skinnier than a racing snake!

LOL, no, its not that, its the lack of flexibility... ...hard to explain.
For £2.50 I might try one in the hope its better than the 30 or so other ones I'd bought and binned.
-
I do understand what you are saying - the cases are too stiff, yes? Mine needed replacing last week mainly because my fingernails had got to "girly" length and damaged the casing: but the fob was rather old.

I'll try one of these, and if any good, buy a bucketload.
I seem to repair as many FL saloon keys as door check straps when Omegas pop round to my house.
Never, ever see issues with the 2 batton ones, apart from battery holders where people are a bit heavy handed changing batteries.

I bought one, and the quality is poor, no better than the 99p from China ones. On the flip side, no worse than many of the £5 ones, other than the seal is a bit fiddly, and the metal bit needs gluing on mine.
