I think any Rolex is assumed to be a fake these days, I treated myself to a Tudor Black bay a couple of years ago and am terrified of wearing it in case it gets scratched

I had to google this.

Around £3000 :o :o :o :o.....Probably best just to keep it in it's presentation case. :y

Tudor and Rolex have same parent company :y

Speaking of petrol and derv.

I passed 2 petrol stations yesterday.

One had derv at 20p a litre more 159.9 to 179.9 for derv.

At the other derv was only 6p a litre more.

One for Mulder and Scully. :D

yes, around 15p differnce between the two down this way whereas it used to be a couple of pence. ???

« on: 02 March 2022, 09:47:58 »
While I'm plodding through my rebuild I'm going to need some suitable sealant for the sump, the oil cooler, etc.

Any recommendations for a biiiig cartridge that I can use with a sealant gun rather than me messing about with un-Pete-friendly little tubes? I'm figuring it will work out better value and more importantly I can control it better with my fists of ham...

This is very good   https://www.wynns.eu/product/black-gasket-maker/

The Autel Maxiscan tablets seems to be pretty well received. At a price. ;)

Autel also do a phone app based set up and a dongle to plug into diagnostic socket, you download a manufacturer of your choice in the initial price and can add more for more outlay,I use one for Saab as my Snap on scan tool doesn't cover Saab well, it works well and access to all modules

The other thing is that there have been suggestions that he is not well and has Parkinson's disease.  I noticed last night on the news, that as he walked across a room to a podium his right arm was completely still, as if he has had a stroke or something.  :-\

Maybe he thinks time is not on his side....

An old uncle of mine suffered with Parkinson's. He was never still and shook like a shitting dog most of the time.

Yes, the RE teacher at school had Parkinsons.  We called him The Shaking Budda!   ;D

It comes in many different forms, my sister has it but no shakes just everything slowed down

The other consideration with some XC90s and most CRVs is that they are wwd not awd*, so not so great for towing.

* I know the R280Cdi is only two wheel drive, but at least it is the back wheels.

All XC90's are permanent 4x4 :y
Not quite true...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_XC90 ;)

Must be bloody rare then as I have never seen one on the originals ,current generation does do wrong wheel drive on some models
