Hmm. Sounds like there could be a Jalfrezi coming my way if I play my cards right. :P

Do you know what year the car is? Not a CAN one, I hope?

Kevin

Are these any good Kevin? Even the new one I got from VX last year is badly worn.
Are they any good?

I bought one for my two button key and the quality seems good but mine was only about £8 but I have forgotten where from :-[

edit-I found it and they do the 3 button case as well

....
If the torque converter could give you a decent range of ratio you wouldn't need any gears at all in the auto' box, actually it can just handle a relatively small ratio spread, and also allows slippage so the outlet shaft can be stationary for starting and stopping... .....

'Yank Tanks' of the 50s use to often just have 2 speed autos  :y

as did vauxhalls cresta and viscount :y

Unless your proper good - then you would be setting it up sideways  with the scandanavian flick just before you get to the bend and planting your right foot even deeper and winding off the opposite lock as the bend starts to straighten out. :y

if mr plod was coming the opposite way he would love that ;D

Last time i done that job was when i was on the tools at a Rover Dealership.

We managed to distroy two brand new Snap-On hydro pullers that back the cost a few hundred quid each.

I think at the end of the Rover gave us the knod to fit a new short motor.

Andy

that will cheer up the op a lot  ;D

if you whip the starter off you may have enough access to give the flywheel a clout from behind,I have had them tight in the past and this has worked a few times
