Ahh, now you've got a point there.

They do provide a perfect soundtrack to a chinese meal at the Shanghai des 24 Heures (about 20 feet from the trackside).

This sound still quickens my heart, there's nothing like a Pig at full chat threading its way through the back-streets (Not Burton-on-Trent)

Although the sound on the video is the engine/transmission note from the Ferret armoured car on which the camera was mounted, the Pig produced essentially the same note.

The engine used in each was a Rolls Royce B60 4.5lt 6cylinder unit also used in some early Silver Cloud models.

Mind you, there's also Challenger 2 - 26 litres of unsilenced diesel
