Title: radios / cd's

has anyone replaced there radio and cdc2 with an simple radio/cd player,and does anyone have a wiring diagram etc ? many thanks

As in VX or aftermarket?

Vx CDR 500 will just plug straight in but are not that good and can be expensive

cdr500 is a VX single disc Head Unit.

Certainly should, and if looking for a CDR500, look for the later SiemensVDO one if you can find it as opposed to the VDO one, as the laser will be a lot "younger".

Avoid the Delco one if you can - getting a bit long in the tooth now, and most of them are now on their last legs.
