CCRT700 'safe'

Guys,

Having my motor de-rusted resprayed by a friend in the motor trade atm (£85 + paint!!!!!!!!)

The numpty went and flattened the battery using my stereo didnt he....

now the radio says SAFE on the screen. I have the codes on the little credit-card sized piece of paper in my handbook but I can't make the radio actually ASK me for the code. typing in the numbers does nothing :(

help!?!?!

It's in the stereo handbook...... along the lines of
ign ON
turn stereo OFF
press & hold AS(? :-/) while turning stereo ON
I think it's now that it asks for the code.

CD is similar, pressing CD instead of AS ...... I think

ccrt700 - just press any button, it should ask you for a code, which you type in on keypad, and then press the selection knob

Just make sure Ignition is ON before turing radio on - applies to code entry of all Vx radios.

ccrt700 doesn't seem to care normally...
