I have the equally chavtastic four hoops projected down and the illuminated door sill tread plates.  :y
How long have you had yours?  Just wondering, as I have to replace mine every couple of years :y

Mine left the factory with the illuminated sills and I'd always assumed the logo puddle lights were standard, like they are on the later bmw's. Not changed mine in the four years I've owned it.  :-\

Thames Water have pissed us off again. No water across the whole town for the second time in as many months.  >:(
Kinda ironic when you look across the fields surrounding your town....

My thoughts exactly.   ;D  :y

Acquired 2 freebie logo puddle lights, so fitted them. ………

So you have pretty little Jaguar logo lights illuminating the kerb when you exit the car now then.  :y
Well, I've had similar for about 4 or 5 years, but they only tend to last a couple of years before either the cree fails, or the logo lens/mask loses its definition.

Chavtastic!

………..

My brace of Jaguar XFR's sported 285/20/30 tyres on the back, and the car was rear drive only. They lasted 4000-6000 miles at best.

They cost a pretty penny to replace. :-\
I think you mean 30/20, unless your car was riding on tractor wheels with low profile tyres  ;D

I did think that they were some seriously big wheels at 30”.  ;D

Washed my wheels and decided it was too cold to wash the paintwork so I went back indoors to warm up.  Thought about taking it to the foreigners to be washed but HS2 have ruptured a drain and the road is flooded so it would be filthy again by the time I got home.  >:(

but why has it taken 20 years & a 4 part mini series on telly for anyone in gov to do anything about it? There was a Panorama episode about some years ago detailing most of Mr Allan Bates vs The PO

The Panorama account was on YouTube over three years ago.  :y  As you say, it’s taken a mini series to bring it to the forefront.

I see that she’s handing her CBE back following a petition but that’s no consolation for the poor sub postmasters wrongly accused and found guilty………

Wonder if she'll give her 5 mill PO leaving handout back too!  ;)

Funnily enough, she didn’t mention that.  :)

I’d only picked up snippets of this story in the past and hadn’t realised that it was such a large scale miscarriage of justice. I feel genuine anger towards the Post Office for blatantly lying to cover their incompetence and failing to see a significance of such a large amount of accountancy inaccuracies.

Building thousands of houses on "flood plains" ………………

The town where I live has its own moat for most of the year. The bypass was raised up as the surrounding fields can be as high as six feet under water, and developers have just submitted planning for another three hundred and fifty houses ……. on land that’s currently six feet under water.  ::)  The Esso garage on the roundabout in Thame was built on land that was regularly six feet under water.
I’ve never known the roads in and around the town to be so bad, I’ve had to turn around on roads that are normally not too bad and take alternative routes.

Bro and SIL tend to go with Cunard having switched from P&O. This switch was reinforced by the discounts offered on subsequent cruises if booked whilst on board... Much like an early bird exclusive member discount. They've five booked over the next 18 months :o …….

You have to do some digging on this one as P&O in particular lead you to believe you are getting a better deal when booking onboard, when it’s not actually anything great. The main advantage to booking your next cruise whilst already onboard is the low deposit per person, which in the case of P&O is £50 per person. We sat down at the bookings desk, after having already looked up the same cruise online, and it worked out around £100 cheaper. You can actually get it thousands cheaper for a family if booked carefully.
For those unaware, prices vary massively for the same room, on the same cruise at the same month. Book really early and you pay top whack, but then, as tickets sales dive a bit, they lower the price as an incentive as the departure time gets within a few months. Ticket sales take off again due to the lower price, but then rise again due to the tickets selling ok again. It can be a big difference between early and mid to later booking.
Obviously the risk of late booking is you take the risk of not being able to book a specific cabin, something which would bother me but not everyone. Also be aware of being offered an upgrade prior to arrival, it probably means they want to resell your cabin and ‘upgrade’ you to a less desirable part of the ship. We always decline this, unless they’re offering a suite in exchange. :)

I have never been on a cruise but would probably avoid anything likely to be over run with children ……..

They do adult only cruises but we tend to pick a cruise during school term time to at least minimise children.

The Embarkation and Disembarkation (sail only) is so much easier when compared to flying as once you are on board your holiday has started.
I guess if I jumped on a boat at Southampton or similar, it would be a couple of days before its got to the Med?  Probably makes a week's break less feasible?  I don't think I want to go for more than a week first time, in case I really don't get on with it...

The point is that your holiday starts as soon as you are on the ship. Within thirty minutes of boarding you could be supping beer sat by the pool, sunbathing on the loungers or scoffing your face with the buffet food. The whole cruise is your holiday, not just the ports.  :y

There was a 1987 Vauxhall Carlton V8 built by Dave Cook Racing Services, near York. It was built for the Thundersaloon Racing but I don’t think there was much original Carlton left by the time it was ready for the track. Apparently the rear differential was Holden, the engine was Chevrolet, mated to a ZF gearbox.
