Hi chaps,
Does anyone have a link or part number for the rocker cover gasket
Just to be sure I’m getting the correct part

Original GM# = 55558349 for the seal. You also need 10 x O-Rings GM# = 90528438.
The cam cover seal and O-Rings = Victor Reinz 15-31997-01. The FAI equivalent is also OK.
MAF for Y22XE and Z22ZE = GM# 90530463. This part is Siemens 5WK9606Z and was widely used on contemporaneous Vauxhall/Opel 4 pot engines. Why do you want to replace it?

Leaking oil into the spark plug wells and maf have no readings at all

Which is what you'd expect for an M6 bolt compressing a rubber gasket.
A smear of sealant where the gasket runs up over the cam bearings might be a good idea, but that's the only place.

Why would you do that ???
The camcover, as per the guides, require minimal sealant in the corners of the front cam bearing caps. That's a factory requirement.
The only* other sealant used is on the sump pan as an alternative to a gasket, again from the factory.
*the V6 oil cooler cover plate and breather box are both sealed to the block using sealant instead a gasket. :y

Thoroughly clean any old sealant or crud or varnish from the mating surfaces. Do not use the green sealant mentioned in the Haynes manual and EPC. It will eventually crystallise.
You can use the black GM oil pan sealant part# 90485251. As Doc Gollum said, you only need four dabs on the right angle corners of the seal. However any decent quality high temperature RTV intended for oil pans and the like will do the job just fine. Easily available from your local friendly motor factor.
The bolts need to be evenly tightened to avoid distorting the cover which will cause a leak. 8Nm is finger tight and a nip.

Surely 2.2s have an aluminium cover? You're not going to distort one of those with 10 M6 screws without doing far worse damage. Although there's no reason to overtighten them. As you say, 8Nm barely needs a tool, so many(most?) small fasteners are massively overtightened
Rootes engines used shoulder bolts to prevent distortion to pressed steel valve covers sealed with cork gaskets....

Nah, plastimicated same as the V6 but a bit longer ;)
