Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / Facelift front bumper wanted
« on: 16 August 2016, 21:07:47 »
As above please, I'm after a facelift front bumper, with holes for headlight washers, so from a CDX or Elite.

I'm looking for the standard bumper, so not from a Sport or MV6 please.

If it was in Z20R (Black) that'd be great, but can be painted if not  :y

I'm likely to need to get x4 20'' Range Rover wheels from 'Choppington', which is between Newcastle and Morpeth down towards Oxford. Anywhere that's nearer than Newcastle is ideal!

Can anyone help? Naturally beer/fuel/time money available!  :y

General Car Chat / Re: another ecp offer.
« on: 05 May 2016, 14:53:17 »
I use ECP for about 35% of the parts I need. Recently I needed a new rear wiper motor for a 1 series, second hand on ebay was about £90, new Valeo from ECP was £68ish. However, when servicing a Supercharged L322, everything came from a LR specialist I use, the genuine parts worked out at about £15 more.
Granted, with my profession I do have cause to buy more, and for differing vehicles...but as suggested on here, ECP does have its place. I've never had a problem with them.

Where as I ordered a front pipe for a 1.0 Corsa C from them last week only to find they had delivered one for a 1.8 Astra......

.......and getting them to recognise the error was'interesting'

Had a hell of job getting an exhaust clamp to! (never heard of them apparently)

I would concede, I never order large items for delivery. I will always go and collect, because then I can hopefully tell if it's the wrong bit!

Kate, I think we need to ascertain a few things to give you the best advice!

Especially in reference to what vehicle you have next;

1) What is your main demand/need of it?
2) Mileage per month, on average?
3) What is a realistic budget for outright purchase, or a monthly outlay you could afford?

General Car Chat / Re: Valuation on a Freelander, if poss?
« on: 14 April 2016, 22:59:56 »
PM me with the registration, and I'll give you an accurate valuation for varying options. The spec will make a difference, if it's a HSE, these do command a good premium.

I would totally agree 'johnnydog', personally I don't think BCA is particularly cheap, even forgetting the comission. I am lucky I use a platinum card to buy, so indemnities aren't too much of a concern.

This thread was only really to serve to illustrate anything vaguely interesting that came up, and I do not endorse any particular vehicle.
