Just noticed that, not sure why?Quotethis way you wouldn't waste £5 on a pack of 20 cigs when you could go to a smoking house and but just 1 for a fiver!!
Carpers an ex member now.... :-/ dunno why :-/
You sod - I've just sprayed stella all over my tosh nowQuoteQuoteThough its got over its' drink problemQuoteIn my travels I have seen more & more pubs closing, it started out in the sticks where many traditional pubs have been remodelled into restaurants ( stick a conservatory on the back) also many have been converted into Indian or Chinese restaurants this is happening in towns now. The smoking ban will be the final nail in the coffin of a great british tradition . therefore to save the pubs I feel it is our duty to visit as many as we can before its too late! So any members who want to save the Pubs put down your cans of Stella & get em in while you still can..............
Don't mention Stella, my laptop is listening
Yes, it's visited ToshibAA...

Mr Angry does make an appearance now and again... ...though not so much as I get older - I leave that to you youngsters....QuoteQuoteActually, I go friendly when I've had a few....QuoteAnd, no, I hadn't had a drink.
The lad was quite lucky then!

Long story... ...basically lost my rag with the kid behind the bar, leaving, only in temper didn't realise that I left but a different entrance which was locked, so I kicked it open, causing all the 'old style' (even though its a new pub) iron work to come off in my hand. Fortunately, there was a bin outside to put it all in.QuoteI think I'm still barred from my local - but then its one of those horrible estate pubs, more interested in food.
Barred
mine's a 2.0Just buy tyres as rubbish as Tunnies....
what does "sideways" mean? :-/
hehehe
Thank you all so much, loads of tips, in summary:Obviously, the fastest and safest way is not to lose traction, but it is good to know what to do if you do overcook it a bit....
Good Tyres
Gentle with the clutch and gas
Practice (somewhere safe)
Training (skid pan / Trackday)
I am sure once I have more experience with RWD I will wonder what all the fuss was about, and will e able to "play" confidently.
it is easy... even my underpowered 2.2 i have had sideways in the wet. Although some will say its crap tyres!!Yes, easy to get your 2.2 sideways in the dry as well, due to 'durable' tyres.
even at 30/40mph on wet roundabouts it can get 'fun'
you have to be light on the throttle, a RWD car is much more controllable. Light pressure on the gas is the secret.
Someone far more experianced than me shall be along soon....
