Pre facelift rattley/squeaky door cards
« on: 29 November 2020, 19:36:45 »

Hi all,

Since I’ve put on the B4’s & Eibach’s the squeaks from the interior door panels & rear shelf have got quite annoying.... How has this been sorted in the past? Self tappers?

Cheers

I like stick-on velcro for that sort of job. The rolls of 'coins' are particularly suitable.

Hot glue is also good.

Strip it out and refit everything making sure that all the clips and screws are present and fitted correctly.

Fitting more screws, especially the 'wrong' ones will only make it worse.

Often the plastic fixing strip on the top edge of the door card becomes detached.

I have re-glued using a hot glue gun or an adhesive like Araldite. :y
