Newbie, from Derby.
« on: 02 November 2012, 15:15:28 »

Hi folks.

Just registered here as I've just purchased a 2.2GLS 2000 (x) Omega Estate for my daily drive.

At the moment I drive a 520i Beemer but will be selling this once I pick up the Estate.

Joined the forum for advice, and to have chats with like minded owners. Some of you may know me from the VODC or Total Carlton as this year I completed the restoration of my Gsi3000.

Anyway, photos of the Omega I will be getting (and some cheeky shots of my Gsi)

Omega: Bought for just under £1000, the usual rust spots you'd get on a 12 year old car (tiny bubbling around the rear wheel arch, bottom of rear door and under the seal of the rear screen where the wiper is). 92k on the clock, tidy inside and engine runs sweet. Auto, which pulled nice when test driven, oh, and brand new Continentals all round (£500 worth, so technically the rest of the car cost me £500  :y)

Will be giving it the full detailing treatment when I get it and sort out any bodywork defects.

My Carlton Gsi.

Cheers. Mark.
