Just changed the auxillary belt tensioner pulley.

So nice when a 2 minute job actually only takes 2 minutes.

Now have both stopped whining.

Got an MOT on the Battlesbus a couple of weeks ago.

Its going to need a new exhaust, but struggling to find one believe it or not.  Euroshite have a Klarius one for around £150...  ...but seeing as the backbox is a 2 year old Klarius from euroshite and already shagged......

At least it should unbolt easily...

Have you tried Peugeot?

Or if you plan on keeping it until it becomes MoT and tax exempt, then you may as well get a custom stainless one made...

The flanges holding the bolts no longer exist on the 2 year old backbox, so the bolts dont even need undoing ;D

Vauxgeot can supply one for £300 and something, but will have to wait for it from the fatherland.  I wasn't really planning on trippling its value if I'm honest.

If only the bloody thing would fail, I'd be shot like a, err, shot ;D.  Its horrifically robust, much to a colleague's amusement, following racing steadily driving behind him from a shithole in Surrey to Northamptonshire, and it badly overheated due to a piece of debris blocked the rad.  Debris removed at Beaconsfield services, allowed 20mins to cool, then we set off again like a bat out of hell.

After some creative welding and a few choice words, finally got the last locking wheelnut out.

Then did a bit of therapeutic arson, burning the old suspension bushes out. A good day.

just cut off the remainder of both flanges and fit a repair sleave or flexi joint
should be good for another 100k
I replaced the mid box on our tractor with a genuine GM new old stock one I had (I purchased many zorst parts when GM got sold)
only the rear flange had rotted .
save yourself the hassle and do a repair  ;)

thats not a bad idea, Mr DtB :y

I'll have another look under to see if thats viable/worthwhile, but not until the wind drops a bit.

the back box might ,but my advice above about cutting out the flange and fitting a repair sleeve is based on me replacing the mid section on the same model Zafira A 2.0 DTi Elegance .

the mid section has about 6 or 8 hangers and after 20 years the front and mid section had welded themselves together and i had to cut the mid section off the front section  which is right under the car and awkward.

the rear flanges mid to back box are easy to get at with the spare tyre removed so repair is easy .

a clamp on repair sleeve can be had for sub £20 delivered ,will do the job and save hassle and £££

Sorry but I can't do anything about the "wind" TB  ,I had a curry yesterday  :D

IF the mid section is beyond a simple sleve fix ...

GM236T £40 in Loughborough clicky

Regal mid and back box £98 delivered clicky

Mid section £42 delivered clicky

but a sleeve repair (if possible ) would be easier  :)
