What make do you use? I was told that anything with natural oils will work, and there are lot of claims by detailing companies about their products which make it a minefield.

Always used Auto Glym, won't pretend to know anything about it but it has always given great results.

Seconded :y

A good scrub with their leather cleaner followed by a once over with the leather balm and the results look and smell like a saddlery 8)

Which is a reason I never do it.  Did it once, the car stank of cowboy chaps for months...   ...inviting all the Village People fans to Go West.

No amount of farting after a naga curry would remove the stench :(

New offside rear brake caliper and rear brake pads (both sides) on the Mondeo.  :)

MOT is due at the end of the month so after yesterdays exertions I popped off the front wheels to check the front pads which are fine.  :y

I was going to adjust the handbrake, but discovered the adjuster is under the car, hidden behind a heat shield, which has to come off and you have to pop off one of the exhaust pipe rubbers as well FFS!  >:(

As it's 100% certain that the heatshield bolts are rusted solid and the exhaust pipe rubber is probably perished, I decided to let sleeping dogs lie and see how it pans out at the MOT.  :)

Oh and I dismantled the trim in the passenger footwell to get at the fuse box, so I could replace the front fog lights fuse.  ::)

Why oh why did Ford make the simple jobs so bleddy awkward!  >:(

Handbrakes don't need to be much good to pass minimum requirements of an MOT
but as it's the emergency brake too ,you night want to resolve it open that can of worms ,post MOT  :D
