plase do not bend the pipes mate, they can split or the seal on to the oil cooler unions can be a bugger to fit when you refit. Not gonna shoot you down mig as this is an option but not recommend.

General Car Chat / cam covers
« on: 04 June 2015, 20:53:43 »
About 6 weeks ago i replaced the passenger side cam cover with a new item. as several attempted goes at stopping the plug wells filling with oil, and failed.
So off to my local dealer who sold me a new cover.
I was told that the old type cover for the engines with plug leads had been changed and the only type availible was for the cars with cop.
Ok that will have to do then.WRONG.
So yesterday i went to another branch of the same group and ordered the drivers side, lol and behold what turns up the correct cover for cars with plug leads. very very pleased but i bang my head on the wall when dealing with dealer parts depts. so i now will have 2 new covers and 2 different types, will the cop covers last longer due to the improved cooling with large holes? We will see. watch this space.........

Changed the plugs today as they were about 7 years old and i had a missfire so a good chance to investigate that, found centre plug on the drivers side and ignition lead covered in oil so a change of cam cover gaskets needed.
Also changed the AUX water pump below the coolant bottle as it had burnt out and almost cought fire, lucKy as it was only the pump and not the plug and loom. :y
