How on earth do i get the CD`s out the magazine?
« on: 03 September 2012, 21:09:55 »

Changed my stereo in my car 2 years ago to an Alpine iPhone/iPod type head unit

left my 6 Disc CD Changer in the back, but how do i get the magazine out which still has my CD`s in it?

if i take the whole Changer out somehow, can i plug it in somewhere and get the disks out?

got some quality CD`s in there  >:(

Easiest way is if there is a local member with a prefacelift and original radio. Can't remember if you need your CD Changer security code.

Would need to know what the original radio was, as there are several types of (identical looking) CD Changers for prefacelift cars

Can't see pic, but assuming CCR600 as you have a 1998 CDX. Possibility of it being a CCRT700 if its a 1999 model.

CCRT700 then, so needs a local member with a CCRT700 system, which isn't the most common.

Did I hear you say it once had a Nokia kit fitted? Just curious as to why 2 phones? That said, I have 2 phones in one of mine ;D

got my CD`s out after years!

went in there and ripped the CD Changer out and threw it in the bin
got the magazine out and all my lovely disks with a set of pliers

the CD changer was knackered anyway, laser had gone on it, even after i cleaned it with laser cleaner years ago
jumpin and skipping, refusing to play etc etc

I think I may have ended up doing the same :D

Before resorting to 'extreme measures' though I would have tried applying 12 volts (assuming I could identify the correct pins) and seeing if I could get it to eject under it's own steam. :-\
