Final got around to fitting new front pads, and cleaning and greasing them slider pins and all other bits (I have enough grease left  :D)

Also applied a bit of rust treatment on some noticeable bits. Hopefully its slowed things down a bit.

Time for a beer  :)

Happy weekend all. :y

Had an enjoyable, fast run across the Dales at dusk.  Reminded me how capable the X351 really is  :y

Is that when it works !!
We were joking earlier on our way back from Yorkshire how it usually breaks down on the way back home from holidays ;D

Had two lower arms fitted ready for the MoT retest tomorrow. Front end now feels much more secure

And changed the oil and filter as the car was due one... Last serviced in 2022, but barely 7k ago. Seeing the state of the filter and the colour of the oil I probably should have done it when I bought it :-[

If you see the state of the filter in the video, it's a wonder the car ran so well :-X

MoT is just a partial retest so will be a formality 8)

Put in a puddle that was a lot longer and a lot deeper than I anticipated ;D, no harm done :0

Then followed some tosser on the M40 for 15 miles who wouldn't move from the inside lane.  Out of principle I refused undertake, though many others did.  Knobjockey.  Merc ragtop, so to be expected in these parts.

Did you check he hadn't just gently passed away while on cruise control? ;)

Driving back from Newmarket on A14 this afternoon and there was a car hogging the outside lane. Nothing in front or beside him/her. They almost shit themselves when a Jag roared up behind them and blasted his horn.  ;D

Given it was a 23 plate Merc, I assumed their life was over about a year ago anyway...
