Complaint against Land Rover Advertisement.
« on: 28 November 2021, 08:37:43 »

A brochure depicting a Land Rover driving through an established forest trail has caused outrage, oh dear..😎

I didn't read the whole article but Land Rover won the argument, I remember when the RRS was first announced the tree huggers were against that, their argument that a performance 4x4  should not be encouraged.

to be honest taking a modern 4x4 off road would probably cause more damage to itself than a proper 1st generation range rover or series LR would ever do !

Having recently driven a L reg Series 3 LR for the very first time I reckon it'd cause me more damage .... 3 pedals, no PAS, drum brakes front & back that need a real shove to make anything happen and somewhat restricted view out of the front when the spare is on the bonnet. Give me my ML350 any day of the week  :y :y

yes that all sounds typical series landrover stuff. no problems there .
still prefer a proper series thou than anything they produce nowadays.in terms of looks and also the fact that you actually have to drive it !
yes you would definately get more injuries to yourself but the vehicle would survive. nowadays its the other way round !

If the 'L' is at the end of the registration it was registered between 1st August 1972 and 31st July 1973.......so getting on for half a century. :y

'L' at the start of the plate I have no idea without looking it up. :-\

Which would make it a Defender rather than a Series III.  ;)
