Plenty of vacant rooms available if you fancy a few days away.

Just don't drink the water. :)

If the migrants don't fancy a stay on there they can always put the scrotes who caused trouble in Oxford St and Saarfend  on it instead. A nice dose of botulism might calm the the buggers down a bit.  ;D

I'm trying to decide which government policy to stop the boats has been most successful.

Rwanda or Bibby Stockholm?

It's a tough call. ::) ::) ;)

Exactly. The Tories just have not showered themselves with credit or joined upness.

Someone must have overseen the Bibby Stocholm or BS for short project. If it has been hanging around empty somewhere then surely a flush of tanks and pipwork would have been part of the project plan. Slick it aint.

Hadn't it just had a mini refit following a long term stint at an engineering project  :-\

I remember reading something when the idea was first mooted and workers had been happy to call it home for there 4 week on/4 week off stints whilst they were working.

Perhaps if the people put there actually did something constructive, they might appreciate it more :-X

And having just been to Toronto, it occurred to me that if the overpopulated countries weren't able to export people to places with more space, the natural order of things might be better balanced... By that I mean that for every ten people that move from India/China/Africa, they seem to replace them with another 20 and then wonder why they never have enough resources, constantly making the problem worse.

It's my belief that the Govt have a quiet deal with the EU to take all and any that set off across the channel in their dinghies, otherwise they would be getting very pissy with the French for looking the other way and essentially palming off their problem on to us.  ::)  Most of these dinghies are escorted to the middle of the Channel by the French navy where they are collected by Border Farce or the RNLI.  It doesn't seem to matter that as soon as they set sail they are breaking all kinds of French laws, and that by looking the other way or even helping them across, they are facilitating serious organised crime.  :-X  >:(

If we were still members of the EU, we would be under pressure to take a quota of migrants and the only difference is that they would be flown into Brize Norton (or somewhere like that) as the Govt of the Republic of Ireland are flying them in. I very much doubt that any British Govt would have told the EU to do one, like Poland and Hungary have done.  :-\

It's the only explanation I can think of for the Govts passive response to this invasion of young men of military age who arrive on a daily basis.  >:(

Off topic, but not this weekend, and for lots of the time during June. The runway there (at the RAF's only Tanker and Transport base) melts when the air temperature exceeds (IIRC) 26 degrees, and this weekend it's NOTAM'd closed for "runway work". Don't tell the Russians though - oh no.

They tried to use Boscombe Down for the abortive Rwanda flight, but frankly it'd be much easier to just use Stansted, Birmingham or Manchester who have the equipment to handle large civilian jets.

What happened this morning adds weight to your theory.
A dinghy full of migrants got into serious trouble , a few miles off the French coast. They were rescued by French vessels and Dover Lifeboat !
They were then all put on to the Dover lifeboat, brought to Dover, and then taken to local hospitals !
You couldnt make it up ffs.

No point getting angry any more though. Its too late. The battle has been lost.
There has been a quiet revolution, a bloodless coup, since the mid 90,s. Not just in the UK but across the Western world.
It has been hollowed out, and all but destroyed from the inside out. All in the name of the Globalist agenda, with its third way mixture of socialist Government overseen  by rampant capitalist elitists, who as individuals become richer than some countries.
It will end in tears at some point, but the Blairs / Clintons / Zuckerbergs etc.  of the world wont be affected as their wealth, and the power that goes with it makes them untouchable no matter what.

Given the opposition to this barge from English, middle class, white females from the Shires, isn't it just as likely this was sabotaged?

From what I can gather, the migrants didn't mind going on the barge, aside from it wasn't London, but were convinced otherwise by the charities supporting them.

Strange that the water on the Bibby Stockholm seemingly wasn't tested for legionnaires until after the illegals started to arrive?  ???

Still I guess that it was less dangerous than setting the thing on fire, which is what I thought would happen.  :-X

As I understand it, it was down at Falmouth for weeks undergoing a refit before being towed up to Portland. Presumably while in dock at Falmouth it was hooked up to all services and the painters and decorators etc were using the water to wash brushes etc.

Doesn't Legionnaires occur in water systems that haven't been used for a while?  ???

The problem is one of over population.

Just because a country has theoretical space should not be an excuse for countries that don't to keep growing their populations.

We're already at nearly 300 people per square kilometer. That should be a cap because we only have 94,000 square kilometers of space.

For every 10 people that emigrate from India, various African states and China, there's another 100 born. That needs to stop.

This may be a tad simplistic, but
France has roughly the same population as the UK, but has way more than double the geographic area (not far off triple actually)
So . . . . . why?
If the UK were to provide exactly the same as France to migrants, surely problem solved. So why do we not?
There is much not being revealed or explained
Much that "they" are not telling us

There are solutions, but they would never happen and that would be to prevent people leaving their country of origin without legitimate cause whilst simultaneously shooting the organisers of illicit border crossings on sight.
