Camera
« on: 25 January 2009, 14:01:07 »

Hi Guys

Looking to fit a camera to the rear of the miggy to help with reversing.  I can wire it straight into my H/U for picture but not sure of the best way to power it. Thought I could try wiring it into the reversing lamps so that the camera would only come on when reverse was selected.

"Would this work"???

for my HU that is exactly the way to do it, although the reverse signal feeds back to the HU ( as well as the Camera video in).  :y :y

Sorry finger slipped....

That sounds a cool idea let us know how you get on.

By the way did you sort your stereo out in the end. I'm stil having problems with mine. Every time I switch off and remove the keys all the radio pre-sets are lost. Infuriating [smiley=angry.gif]

I've just looked at the VX connector and I have two possible red cables.

One thick and a double red going into one pin

Which one should I choose

Practice driving in the miggy a bit longer and you won't need any of those reversing aids! ::) ::) :D ;)

If you aren't careful you will be watching the screen inside the car so much you will hit something with your wing!! :o :o    Let "the force" guide you! ;D ;D ;)

No I'm used to drivng big vehicles but the other half will be driving it and she's used to driving a Ka.

So better safe than sorry I say.

And it's being fitted to an aftermarket H/U.
