Parrot Kit?
« on: 03 January 2012, 14:52:38 »

hi all,

I want to fit the Parrot kit that was in my Astra to my new Omega, the Astra had a normal single din stereo (a Pioneer head unit), but the Omega has a 2005 double din sized unit.

I cant take the stereo out of the Omega yet, as I need to get some double din sized radio removing tools, but can anyone advise if the connector blocks on the back of a double din stereo are different to single din?  Common sense says they'll be the same, but knowing my luck they'll be different and I'll have to find some sort of adaptor for the Parrot kit.

Cheers,

Claire

All Facelift Omegas (so all Double DIN) use 36 way ISO.  Astra's can be ISO 26 or ISO 36.

you might have to cut the bottom connector away from the top 2 so you can still plug that back into the stereo, had to do that on my zafira when i had a phone kit fitted.

If you seperate the blocks on the double din Omegas, you'll never get them to stay in the cage.

Butchering an old Traffic Master loom is probably best way...  ...or forget the parrot HU bypass, and wire the parrot audio straight onto the Phone-In connectors on back...

Claire,

Your Astra was a 26 pin ISO, and your Omega is a 36 pin Mini ISO

(Happy New Year BTW)
