sons boyfriends
Now I dont mean to stereotype, but that ususally always means the car is utterly fooked.
No need to stereotype. Judging by the guys in my team at work, anything owned by a Gen Z'er will be "utterly fooked".
I do try to instil the need for basic maintenance, or even checking things like tyre pressures, but to no avail.
Yes, now you mention it....
My bestie mate's neighbours son got a brand spanker Beemer on some lease scheme, but kept driving it with a dash full of warning lights until it expired when it was about 18 months old. AA towed it back and dumped it on the verge outside the house, and that was where it remained because, being a millennial, he was unable to pick up a phone and talk to a garage, and there were no apps for "I've Donald ducked my car". 2.5yrs later when the 4yr lease finished, it was towed away by lease company who fined the lad heavily for the state it was in - non runner, 4 flat tyres, trees growing out of the scuttle.
