red is longer life and vx now recommends it. Think its change period is twice as long as blue coolant....

Chemically different. The Blue and Red shouldn't really be mixed, and as you cannot drain more than 1/2 of it out of v6 easily, you really want to keep it the same.

The Red, incidentally, is long life, and supposedly has a life of 5yrs (as opposed to 2yr life of blue). Personally, I would halve these figures.

Red is quite expensive, but good value if you have access to Trade Club.  If you don't have access, I'm sure one of the locals can help in this respect....

Green/Yellow needs replacing every two years.

Red/Orange is for the life of the car and never needs replacing - according to Vauxhall's TIS2000. On the actual container however it says change every 5 years  :o

Either way for the price of Red Vx coolant on TC (around £6) I would change it every year...

Much worst, I think....  :(

You can understand the sales brochure being over-optimistic and economic with the truth, but you’d hope that at least TIS will be professional and impartial :-?
