I am looking for a replacement car for my little corsa. So, today I phoned a few main agents to see what 'deals' they could come up with.

Now, being from a sales background - ie I can sell sand to the eskimos and snow to the Arabs. (erm..... ) I do know the best thing in the world is a customer who wants to spend money.

I rang Evans Hallshaw or whatever they are now called, Reg Varney is no longer their name (which is just as well, because Stan from on-the-busses doesn't do it for me). I asked what they had in the way of a 2006 Corsa Diesel......

Ooooh serrrrr, I think we have an 03 plate, a 53 plate and a 54 plate.

Fin, stop provoking Jaime. You know he gets all excitable when you mention a certain dealer group...  

It also seems that this particular branch are up the the same exacting levels of comprehensive training to provide the highest customer service and technical knowledge... ie they follow the tried and trusted British method of "maximum" return by minimum investment on their staff (training costs money you know!)

You have to remember this is the same setup (biggest Vx dealer in Nottingham) that dont stock head bolts......probably because there is nobody within the entire Pendragon group who knows how to use them correctly....

Yep. And they also thought that a 2.0 water pump was for a v6. Mine must have been modified, they told me.

Problem is, the sheep population will keep going there regardless. I saw a woman there once pay over £940 over on here credit card for a 'service' on her meriva thing. Didn't question the bill, just grinned as if to say ' I can afford it'

it doesnt get any better does it?   the only way to get good service now is to phone up a company in a squeaky voice and say my name is mr beckham and i would like to come to your company and spend lots of money!
dont bother phoning that through to mcdonalds though you still get the old response.
