Dave,

can i pick your brain? Just want to make sure that off the back of what you have show here my install is OK

Alpine MRV-F407/4 amp, rated at 120W per channel (running 4 channels)

I was recommended to use 8 guage with a 50 amp fuse, fuse is right by the power source (battery)

Never had a problem with it, just want to be safe  :y

My sister have a omega from 2000-.
She can not open the trunck when the key is ON in the ignition.

Is that the same to yours Omega’s

At my own Omega from 2003 I can with no problem open the trunck?

It's great to see this omega forum, but I hope not there is too much junk post her ;D

2000 cars had a 'safety feature' that stopped the boot from being opened if the key is in the ignition, this was changed for later cars.

Hope that helps  :y

and welcome to the forum

Do you want the template so other members may use it?

some pics would be ideal to see what it looks like

this one will work so long as you as prepared to modify it a bit.

the reason being the centre console on the Omega is tapered, the one on offer here has straight sides.

a craft knife and some time could see this sorted though...

if you do some pics would be good  :y

I have the Alpines big brother in my Omega as a replacement to the bose amp.....

Lovely amp, coupled with the standard Bose speakers really improves the system, my only critisism is that the standard vaux unit does not have pre-outs...

Have you seen this? : http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1174515451

Drives an Alpine nicely.

Kevin

i read it with great interest, and really wanted to have a go, however i am not that deft with soldering so decided not to persue it.

My CCR2006 is on its last legs and i am now looking for another one to replace, if i can get one at the right price i might pluck up the courage

Nice looking set, but I'd have to change the whole dash to silver  :)

I've got a CCR2006 in my car with BOSE, does anyone know if the headunits are different with or without BOSE?

i believe they are set up differently if they have Bose

i have NEVER been able to get a CDR to run on my 2006....total pain in the a$$, hence the reason for buying the ipod and H&K kit
