I suspect the 10's are at the wrong end and that should be P0154 and P0153 - both are O2 sensor codes (former is 'no signal' and the latter 'slow response').. assuming this is a car late enough to be using OBD codes, of course.

Most engine codes seem to start with zero/10 flashes.

Ime it helps to video the flashes, then you can pause, write down, play etc.

i am confused by the lack of a long 10 sequence at the start, (could just be lack of familiarity)   the 1 is definitely the first flash i get....

Always a chance that it's not flashing OBD codes but proprietary ones - what age Astra is it?

Hopefully someone with Astra specific knowledge will be along in a bit..

I see 1530 and 1540 listed as more than one description searching specifically for Astra stuff, IIRC anything with a number that high is in the "Manufacturer makes it up as they go along" range though?

OBDII are in following format...

Pnxxx

P=drivetrain
n=0 for "standard" OBDII, 1 for manufacturer specific
xxx=rest of code

This is a useful site for decoding DTC's .. even the manufacturer "specials" .. although I have no idea how accurate some of them are !!

http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/

unfortunately being a Canadian site it seems to ignore some European makes

This site

http://www.engine-light-help.com/gm-trouble-codes.html

lists 1530 and 1540 however .. might help ??

A/C clutch and/or A/C pressure, according to TIS. Doubt it would affect much.
