Climate control problem

Hi all, as title it will only blow hot air when the unit is set on "Hi" any ideas what the cause may be?

What MY?

On the pre-facelift climate, there is a fan built into the control unit to sample the air temp from the cabin and adjust as required.  If the fan fails or gets gummed up with fluff/dust then you get the problem you have.  Easy way to check is to put a small piece of tissue paper over the intake (cut-outs above the centre 2 controls) and if it doesn't stay put with the small amount of suction then the fan ain't turning.

Have you done the 'reset flaps' procedure?

Facelift may be a completely different setup.

Thats a good point the outside temp sensor is displaying 44 degrees I think its telling fibs cos it's rather freezing up here. By the way my miggy is a facelift

That's the problem identified then.
A new sensor is cheap and easy to fit which may fix the problem. If it doesn't then you need to look for corroded connectors and damaged wiring in the loom the sensor shares with the front foglights.
