Bought myself a new motor last week.  Thought I'd stick a picture up and see what the general opinion is...

(Not that I really care, cos I love it!!)

Josh has let me have a spin in one or two Rangies, one of them being the 5.0 Supercharged V8. 

I see exactly why people buy them, I'd love one as well to be honest.

Might need LPG though

I set out looking for a black one Al, but concluded with that much bodywork and my OCD, I'd spend my whole life polishing the bloody thing!  You don't see many in this colour and I think it really suits it.  I'm really happy with it!

Correct, it's the 4.4 BMW V8.  So far, I've done about 400 miles in it (some motorway and some town driving) and I've averaged the equivalent to 34mpg on petrol.  Not bad at all!

It certainly does mate.  I tested that before I bought one.  I don't even have to drop the suspension to get under the door, which is handy!

Got tints on my 3.2, came with it when I got it both front and rear. Took fronts out as they were very illegal, left rears in.

One really good benefit is night driving, really takes the glare out of headlights. I find it more relaxing to drive, that said, reversing at night is a bugger! 

Luckily it has parking sensors

with that amount of glass,even with the rangies excellent aircon it will get hot in there,and the sun will dazzle the lickle twigs eyes.

I fitted a set of privacy blinds in my Veccy C estate, and was very impressed with them.  They are available for the Rangie so I might go down that route.

The Venture Cam... I think it was originally designed for off-roading.  You can use it to check for obstacles under the car when you're in the thick, brown stuff.

I am a (proper) engineer so its generaly function over form (and you dont see the outside from the inside) and they do the function very well.

Maintenance and parts are not so rpricey, no worse than what you have.

The real kiiller on all these 4x4's is the need to change four tyres at once though, ouch!

cayenne's are useless when trying to tow trailers/horsebox across the fields or up a roadway.but then they are even useless in Chelsea too.

I used to have the same issue with my old Cavalier 4x4 Turbo.  I shall just rotate them and keep the wear even, and change them all together as you say.

The good news is it has 4 brand new tyres on it, so I don't have to worry for a while.

but I must warn you that this color has the highest fading rate (even with UK sun)..  so if you are going to paint any part for some reason, spend some considerable effort to match it..  (some brownish yellow and matte grey may help matching)

They do look nice ib Black though, mate of mine has the same in black, keep telling him to LPG it, but he wont listen. I'll let him know the MPG your getting.
