I'm quite happy with my SKY+ box, but they keep contacting me to 'upgrade' to SKY Q

I was, but after hearing the benefits, I changed to Sky Q

Can record 3 channels at the same time  - so they told me.
Search facillies are better. etc.

If you lose the remote you can press a button on the box and the remote will buzz.  (used that facility a few times)

A lot better box all round.

It never belongs to us as the old boxes did.
Cant use the old box as a 2nd unit  so I was told.

I got it dor £20 a month so no complaints from me.

I have trouble finding one channel that's worth watching, never mind recording.
Search facilities? Easy, even on sky+ box
I don't lose my remote and, if I do, I have two more 

I gave up on having use of the remote years back .....

it's either on the couch next to her or stuffed down the cushion next to her.

Phone call from Burnley (Suspected scam) thought it could be Sky.
Foreign voice - couldnt understand a word, when repeated sounded like 3 mobile ofering me a discount.  I said I would rather have an improved service,they hung up.

Another cold caller.  Solor panels offer . told him I live in a tent.

Wonder who will ring next?

I've actually been signed up as a content creator before OOF existed . So I know how full of shite its always been.  And I know 95% of videos are for those trying to make money off it, and they fall into the same category as 95% of Ebay Seller idiots trying to make money from that platform.

5% still have some dignity.  I like to think I'm in that 5% on both (and other) platforms.

As to clicking on links in webpages (and emails, texts, blah, blah), you know better than that , especially with the old forum software...

A well known drone manufacturer - I was after a small bit of plastic that fell off one of mine.

less than 2 euros for the part, 20 euros shipping.  FFS, even Royal Mail would let the part go as a standard letter!

Forgot to post the one above

So cable wasnt damaged due to the wind.

I ended up with a new box and remote. (Gen 2) same size HDD but a more reliable box to the old Gen 1 that aint that old.

Can see differences to the menu etc.

The guy that came gave me 2 months free Movies (Nice for Christmad as I have more choices)

Thumbs up to Sky for the current service.

Also as expected I got 2 cold calls during the visit, and 2 more since and only half way through the say at that.

Wait until an account holder dies and then see how helpful they are.

Me:  No, the account holder has died.
SKY:  Well I really need to speak to the account holder.
Me:  Ok, I’ll just get my Ouija Board out and we’ll have a Seance to see if I can contact them, you frickin stupid moron.

So, if you know anyone who’s nearly dead, make sure they have the decency to cancel their SKY subscription before actually dying, as it makes it so much easier for those of us they’ve left behind.
